The Hospital

Community Medical Center, a 171-bed, JCAHO-accredited, acute care medical facility is the oldest continuously operated medical facility in the area. Services include Adult and Neonatal Intensive Care Services, Full Service Health Club/Wellness Program, Neurology and Neurosurgery Services, Senior Services Program, Women's and Children's Services, Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Services, Level III Trauma Emergency Department, Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Services, Sports Medicine Programs, Wound Care and Hyperbaric Services, and Safe Kids Childhood Injury Prevention Program.  Since 2000, the Medical Center has invested more than $37 million in new technology and facility improvements including a state-of-the-art cardiac cath lab, a new neonatal intensive care unit, a new wound care center, and a heartburn treatment center. 

The Community

There are two great reasons to choose this community: It is a 103,000 metro population city in West-central Texas.  It is approximately 130 miles from Midland-Odessa and 90 miles from Abilene.  Three lakes frame the city to the west and beautiful rivers course through the town.  Many people note that the city enjoys the best of both worlds -- it is large enough to have all the amenities you expect and more in a city, and it is small enough to be a great place to raise a family.  It does not have all the stress and trouble usually associated with a larger city; commutes are short; the crime rate is low; and the people are friendly.
