This is an outstanding opportunity to join an exceptional practice in Central Pennsylvania. The community is less than 1.5 hours to State College, PA and less than 4 hours from New York City. It is also only a few hours from Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. This is a very well run and organized health center located in a beautiful community and they are looking to add a top notch physician to their staff. The ideal candidate is compassionate and loves helping people. They will look at both DOs and MDs who are board certified or board eligible. Solid communication skills are a must. The group includes Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and Pediatricians. The group recently teamed with a local hospitalist group to provide hospitalist services so physicians have plenty of time to enjoy the lifestyle available. The facility uses modern technology such as Electronic Medical Records. This opportunity is Monday – Friday and outpatient only. In a typical day, 20-22 patients are seen. This is a thriving practice with excellent support staff.
Details about the opportunity:
- 100% Outpatient – Occasionally admit about 1 PED per month and rotations are shared amongst FPs (1:9); Hospitalist cover the adult patients
- Patient ranges from Peds to Geriatrics.
- Monday – Friday position (8-5 PM)
- Salary is very competitive and there are production incentives available as well
- Malpractice and tail coverage covered by the FTCA

Qualifications:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Spanish is a Plus, but not required

Location Description
|
This small community of about 4.5 square miles and 1600 people us located in the mountains of North Central Pennsylvania near the New York state border about 1 hour from Williamsport, PA and Almira, NY airports! The community is characterized by its scenic beauty due to its over 600 acres of lush state forests. There is a small business district near the center of the city along the river and some development along nearby parts of the interstate that passes through the town. This community is family-oriented and volunteerism is greatly encouraged. The fire and ambulance services are both voluntarily run. The area also has an extensive recreational facility for community use that often serves as the focal point of community activity. The town also hosts some annual celebrations like the Coal Festival. High school and youth sports are popular here. This is a very supportive, close-knit community where residents continually show their love for one another and their pride for their town! |
